What is the Modelling Programme, exactly?

A recorded course in commercial real estate financial modelling. We build the Excel models from scratch, line by line, on screen: nothing comes pre-packaged, and we explain why each cash flow item matters as we go.

You go from your first asset cash flow, through debt, to a full equity waterfall. Then you sit 10 real modelling tests from UK and European funds and banks against the clock, each with the finished Excel and a video of it being built.

How long does it take, and when can I start?

As long as you want it to. You go through it at your own speed and go back over any part as often as you like, with lifetime access. The course is recorded and comes in bite-size pieces in Excel and video, so it fits around a job or a degree, and you start the day you join. People preparing for a test usually work through the course first and then focus on the real modelling tests in the weeks before it.

Who teaches it?

Former Blackstone and Goldman Sachs investors. The course was designed and is taught by people with real-world experience in investment banking and private equity, so what you learn is the exact skill set the industry asks for.

Can I see what’s inside before I buy?

Do you cover hotels and hospitality?

No. Hotels and hospitality are not covered in the programme. There is a hotel underwriting model among the free materials, and that is the only hotel content we offer.

I’m outside the UK. Is it still for me?

The programme is recorded and online, so you can take it from anywhere, and the free call is by video or phone. The 10 real modelling tests come from UK and European funds and banks, so what you practise is what those firms ask for. Aiming at another market? I’ve done another modelling course. How is this different?

Three things. The tests are real: 10 modelling tests set by UK and European funds and banks, sat against the clock, not exercises written for a course. It is taught by people who did the job, former Blackstone and Goldman Sachs investors, and every model is built from scratch, line by line, on screen, not a template you fill in. And if the interview is the harder part, Coaching adds this: Three one-hour one-to-one sessions, used however you find most useful: a mock interview, job-search strategy, or anything else you need. Your CV edited and re-checked, your LinkedIn profile reviewed, and a written plan built around your test or interview date.

Can I just have the CV review, or a single session?

Yes. A CV review on its own, or a single session, can be arranged at a bespoke price. Book a free call and tell us what you need, and we will suggest what fits.

Most people take the full Coaching package: with the programme (£2,000), or added later for £500 if you already have the Modelling Programme. What does it cost, and how do I pay?

• Modelling Programme, £1,500. The full recorded course, the 10 real modelling tests with walkthroughs and finished Excel, and the course workbook.
• Modelling Programme + Coaching, £2,000. Everything above, plus Coaching. Three one-hour one-to-one sessions, used however you find most useful: a mock interview, job-search strategy, or anything else you need. Your CV edited and re-checked, your LinkedIn profile reviewed, and a written plan built around your test or interview date.

You pay by card at checkout and get access straight away. Bought the programme and want Coaching afterwards? Add it for £500. Employer paying? Book a free call and we will arrange it with them.

Do I get a certificate?

Yes. You receive a certificate on completing the course, which you can add to job applications and your LinkedIn profile.

What is the free call?

A conversation with one of the CRE Modelling team about where you stand, which gaps matter most, and what to work on next. It is free, by video or phone. It isn’t a job interview, a general networking chat or a placement service.
